Come join us for a fun evening of bridge with other young players. Held every Friday except occasional cancellations which are listed on the signup form each month.

Shoreline Duplicate Bridge Club. $12/pair
Once a month on Saturday morning at the Bridge Center in Mountain View.

  • 99'er section and if there are enough players also a higher limited section or an Open section.
  • Lesson at 9:45 AM. The game starts at 10 AM. A light lunch is provided.

  • 7 day sleepaway camp including bridge lessons and tournaments as well as indoor and outdoor recreational activities.

  • Aspiring bridge players ages 10-25 are welcome – as long as they know just a little bit about bridge and want to learn more. Youth younger than 10 may be allowed to attend on a case-by-case basis with parental supervision.
  • Kids with all levels of experience are welcome. Bridge tournament players compete for prizes. Some kids play just for fun. New players will be taught the basics of the game.
  • Pizza and snacks provided.

  • This is an opportunity for the younger players to get to know each other, while sharing a game with a parent or grandparent.
  • Each pair should consist of one Junior ACBL member (age 25 or younger as of January 1st 2015) partnering a parent or grandparent.

    • Saturday, June 13, is Youth Day including a 0-20 stratified pairs game in the morning.
    • Saturday, 1:45-2:45 (between sessions) SiVY teacher Michael Bodell will discuss his favorite hands from the 1st session with youth players. Bring a lunch and participate.
    • Youth 25 and under play free all day Saturday and pay half price ($6/session) on all other days.
    • Sign up for help finding a partner.
    • Looking for caddies to move boards between tables, etc. $10/hr.

    Silicon Valley Fall Sectional

    West Valley Community College, Saratoga

    • Aspiring bridge players ages 10-25 are welcome – as long as they know just a little bit about bridge and want to learn more. Youth younger than 10 may be allowed to attend on a case-by-case basis with parental supervision.
    • Youth with all levels of experience are welcome.
    • Casual Play from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM
    • Those who wish to compete in duplicate games are encouraged to play in the Sectional and join us for pizza.
      • 10:30 AM and 3:30 PM: Regular games. $6 per session.
      • 3:30 PM to approx 6 PM: Special Newcomer Game - shorter session limited to players with 20 or fewer masterpoints. All entries only $5.
      • Partnership help.
    • Pizza will be served at 2:30 PM for players in the casual play event and youth players in the duplicate tournament.

    October 25 (Saturday) Duplicate Tournament and Party Pizza Play Bridge
    West Valley College in Saratoga
    This event is in conjunction with the Santa Clara Valley Fall Sectional

    Tournament at 10:30 AM. FREE for age 25 and under playing in the 0-5 masterpoints game. HALF PRICE for age 25 and under for all other games during the entire tournament - Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

    • Trophies to the winning pair in each direction of the 0-5 duplicate tournament.
    • For those who have over 5 masterpoints, several other options are available including a non-life-master game with stratifications for under 100, under 200 and under 500 masterpoints.
    • Second session of the sectional starts at 3:30, with non-life-master or open pairs for those who prefer that to our youth duplicate.

    • Pizza party 2:00 - 5:15: pizza served first, casual bridge as well as youth only duplicate game 2:45-4:45, dessert at the end.

  • For those in our Parent - child Duplicate game, this is an opportunity for the younger players to get to know each other, while sharing a game with a parent or grandparent.
    • Each pair should consist of one Junior ACBL member (age 25 or younger as of January 1st 2015) partnering a parent or grandparent.
  • Alongside our Parent - Child duplicate game, we're having a casual, social afternoon of bridge. For younger players not ready for bridge yet, weʼll play other simpler card games as well.
    • If you love duplicate and want to play with your child or grandchild; If you've never played bridge and have been wanting to try it; If you want to get your family members hooked on the game, or meet other families of bridge players, please join us!

November 1 (Sunday: 2015 Bay Area Intercollegiate Bridge Championship (the Big Game of Bridge)
4-8 PM at the Bridge Center in Mountain View.

Stanford and Cal will face off in a competition for the Rev Murthy Cup for Bay Area Collegiate Bridge Teams. Stanford was victorious in 2014, which was the first playing of this annual event. Cal is practicing weekly at their bridge club, and plans to fight even harder this year. Kibitzers are encouraged to attend and wear the colors of their favorite team!
