Volunteer Spotlight

David and Kathy Puryear and Alan Templeton

Dave and Kathy Puryear are among the many volunteers who began with the organization in its founding year.  They've both continued to help in after school programs, summer camp, and at events.

Dave's SiVY resume includes time at Sacred Heart in Belmont, Graham Middle School, and recently Mountain View High School.  He's had the opportunity to watch several of his Graham kids as they've progressed to High School Juniors!

Kathy began as an after school program teacher at Theuerkauf Elementary and has more recently helped frequently at Peterson Middle School.  Kathy has also helped at Summer Camp and our events.

You'll regularly see the Puryear pair playing in the open section at the club both days and weekends, when they aren't traveling or spending time with their grandkids.

Alan Templeton is our SiVY  webmaster, photographer, a founding volunteer and Board Member, and frequent table helper at pizza parties and summer camp.

The seemingly indefatigable Alan is responsible for ensuring youth players and parents can find all the information they need on our (very comprehensive!) website.  The webmaster position requires not only technical skills, but also writing/editing ability.  There are continual demands on his time and he seems to always make himself available to meet them.

Alan also snaps the fabulous photos you see in this newsletter, on our site, and on the Facebook page.

Last and certainly not least, Alan is always willing to pitch in at events, summer camp, or wherever he is needed.
