2021 Bay Area High School Bridge Championship

Conratulations to the Lynbrook High School Team Tatum, winners of this year’s Championship. Representing Lynbrook High School were Michael Hu, Thomas Zheng, Alex Zheng, Arthur Zhou and Liao Zhang. They received $400 in Amazon gift cards for winning.

Congratulations also to the Gunn High School team who finished second. Representing Gunn were Michael Xu, Elijah Schacter, Miles Montegut, Destiny and Xia. They received $200 in Amazon gift cards.

Winners of the Championship Pairs were:

• 1st Place: Olivia Schireson (Kehillah Jewish High School) and Brandon Ge (Pinewood School). Each received a $80 Amazon gift card.
• 2nd Place: Richard Liu and Jeffrey Meng (Monta Vista High School). Each received a $50 Amazon gift card.
• 3rd Place: Kai Eckert (Half Moon Bay High School) and Benjamin Singer (Mission Early College High School). Each received a $30 Amazon gift card.
• Newcomer Pairs: Steven Wong and Isaac Chan (Hillsdale High School). Each received a $25 Amazon gift card.

Winners of the Warmup Pairs were:

• 1st Place: Richard Liu and Jeffrey Meng (Monta Vista High School). Each received a $25 Amazon gift card.
• 2nd Place: Andrew Eidelhoch (Lick-Wilmerding High School) and Pico Gilman (Proff School). Each received a $20 Amazon gift card.

After the game we held a Zoom meeting where we congratulated all the winners and raffled of addition gift cards. Winners choose between $20 gift cards from Amazon, Baskin-Robbins, Chipotle, Panda Express, Pizza Hut or Subway or 25 BBO$. Youth picked up or had delivered SWAG bags with snacks, pencil, book and $8 BBO bucks.

This year our Championship was held online on BBO. Due to the difficulty to form teams, we only had two teams competing. However, we had 16 high schools represented by 29 youth:
